Features

  • The insulation of the connector is made of a highly modified silicone rubber characterised by high tracking resistance, elongation at break and non-flammability.
  • A thin walled screen is permanently bonded onto the insulation and protects the connection system against accidental contact.
  • The screened connector need not be removed for over sheath testing.

RSES/RSSS Screened Adaptor system 250A, 24kV

Raychem separable Screened Adaptors are designed to connect single-core polymeric cables to medium voltage equipment transformers, switchgears, motors etc.) up to 24 kV.

Made of crosslinked EPDM and protected with a minimum 3 mm moulded conductive shield onnected to earth, Raychem deadbreak adaptors are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Heat shrink: EPP-0341-9_03 Joints for Polymeric Insulated Cables 72 kV

The elastomeric Raychem 72 kV joints are suitable for all polymeric cables and can accommodate various cross-bonding shield break and external grounding arrangements.

Heat shrink: EHVS Inline and Shield Break Splice From 123 kV up to 170 kV

Application

  • The joint is a pre-fabricated threepiece design for voltage classes up to 170kV. Polymer-insulated cables of various designs can be adopted with respect to shielding and metal sheath.  Cross sections up to 2500 mm 2 are applicable.

RSTI-CC-L Screened, separable coupling connection system 630A up to 24KV

Features

  • The screened coupling connector is designed to mate with the rear end of the base screened connector system RSTI designed for 24 kV.
  • The insulation of the coupling connector is made of a highly modified silicone rubber characterised by high tracking resistance, elongation at break and nonflammability.
  • A thin-walled screen is permanently bonded onto the insulation and protects the connection system against accidental contact.

Triple extruded composite sleeve: ERIT

Typical Application

ERIT is a triple extruded composite joint sleeve. The combination of the inner elastomeric layer and the heatshrink middle layer provides a reliable insulation replacement over the connection of jointed cables.  The black outer layer is conductive and provides the screening function.

The sleeve is designed for the application in all types of joints for voltages up to 17,5kV. The sleeve is used as an integral part of Raychem Joints and will not be supplied as a separate item.
