TIS's Energy Division is dedicated to promoting an uninterrupted flow of electrical energy by providing world class connector systems for both underground cables and overhead lines networks. A wide range of products used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity are offered and backed by a highly qualified and experienced technical sales team. The Energy Division also offers expertise in fields of insulation co-ordination such as application of surge arrestors and surge protection devices. This is all complimented by the ESETA approved courses provided by the in-house Training Centre covering topic such as cable accessories installations, cable fault finding techniques, Arial Bundle Conductor installations and High Voltage Regulations.

Training

TIS is at the forefront of providing training for engineers, technicians, electricians and cable jointers in the usage of TIS products. Training can be provided either at our training centre, the client’s premises or onsite. Training itself takes place firstly with a theory session, followed by a practical demonstration whilst students are being assessed . Courses offered are:

• Cable Jointing and Terminating
• Cable fault finding methods
• Arial Bundle Conductor installations
• AMPACT fired wedge systems
• High Voltage Regulations (HV Regs)
